August 1909 Event Schedule

This article is yet another from a special Sunday edition of the Indianapolis Star that touted the excitement of the upcoming first automobile races at the new Indianapolis Motor Speedway. The date was August 15, 1909.
 
This item is an event schedule for the three days of the race meet, August 19-21. Many times these schedules changed almost to the last minute and in this case what eventually happened differs from what you will find in this attachment. With the exception of time trials for various distances the first two days of this schedule are the same as what eventually played out. However, the third day is different in that instead of the six planned races only four were started.
