Jimmy Murphy's Final Train Ride

Once again, historian and researcher Ken Parrotte come through with an important and interesting ride. This Albany Evening Journal article reports on the shipment of 1921 French Grand Prix and 1922 Indianapolis 500 champion Jimmy Murphy's fatal accident at the Syracuse dirt track in September 1924. The story was written on the cross country train ride that shipped his body from New England to his final resting place in Los Angeles.
