Image of The Week
The notation on this picture provides good clues. This is a photo of the 1913 Case Team at a dirt track in Paris, Texas. Among the drivers pictured are Fred Horey ( the 1925 IMCA Champion), Joe Nikrent (Indy 500 starter in 1913, plus winner, 1909 "Cactus Derby") and Bill Endicott (5th place finisher in the 1912 Indy 500) and Louis Disbrow who, among other things, is known as the mentor of the top female driver of the era, Joan Cuneo. The Case team was started in 1910 by Lewis Strang, who lost his life in a touring event in July 1911.
