Image of The Week
Barney Oldfield driving the 200 HP Benz that was rechristened "Blitzen Benz" after he previously called it the "Lightning Benz." The original caption was written to promote Mobil Oil and ignores that he had just suffered a blowout of his right rear tire. Check out the tire. Oldfield made good money with exhibition runs in this car in 1910 after setting a new world's speed record at Daytona (131.7 MPH) in March 1910. He also used the car to set the mile track record at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway in May.
