Harroun & Heineman

This image was originally published in the Sunday, March 20, 1910 Indianapolis Star. It shows Marmon driver Ray Harroun with riding mechanic Fred Heineman as they expected to compete the inaugural race meet at America's first board track, Playa Del Rey, near Los Angeles. The event took place just a few weeks later in April. Heineman also drove for Marmon on occasion.
