Image of The Week
Marmon enjoyed good success at the May 1906 Glenn Valley Hill Climb with one victory, a second and a third place. The company ran this ad to promote the quality and power of their car in the Indianapolis News on May 25. The ad promotes both the company's $2,500, 24 HP Model C and their $3,500, 30 HP Model D. These were four cylinder, air-cooled cars with double three-point suspension.
The ad was a cooperative promotion with the Gibson-Short Cycle and Auto Company, a dealership at 238 Massachusetts Avenue in downtown Indianapolis. Fisher Automobile Company and Stoddard-Dayton also ran a cooperative ad promoting that model's performance at Glenn Valley.
