Denison Hotel

This is a photo of the Denison Hotel from old Indianapolis, Indiana. In the early days of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, this hotel was a favorite of the wealthier drivers and better financed teams when they came into town for Speedway events. In the first Indianapolis Motor Speedway motorized competition, the August 1909 motorcycle races, the Denison (home of the Flat Tire Club) served as the finishing check point for riders in the 380-mile Cleveland to Indianapolis endurance run.

The hotel's address was 135 North Pennsylvania, on the southeast corner of that street and Ohio Street.
