Christian Lautenschlager & Mechanic

The original source reports this photo is of Christian Lautenschlager (Mercedes) and his riding mechanic at the 1914 French Grand Prix. The car was a four cylinder, 4.5-liter Mercedes. Lautenschlager competed in the 1923 Indianapolis 500, finishing 23rd in a field of 24 after crashing out of the contest.
