Barney & Bess

This is a wedding photo taken of Barney Oldfield and the woman he married twice. The first marriage was in 1907, when this photo was taken, and then again later in life. The nature of Barney's work and his weakness for alcohol, tobacco and other women made being his wife a tough challenge. This was Bess' second marriage. Her maiden name was Gooby, and she had married M.O. Holland, early in her adult life.
