Roger Brummett, associate producer of the upcoming feature-length movie about the first Indianapolis 500, announced WK Gilbert (facing the camera) asĀ the movie's official artist at the "Artomobilia" art show held in May 2009 in Carmel, Indiana. Showcased at the event was original art from Gilbert depicting Ray Harroun on his way to winning the first Indianapolis 500 in his Marmon Wasp. Gilbert painted live at the event, capturing the beautiful street scene which included vintage and exotic cars present for the occasion.
