Universal Studios Trophy - Uniontown Board Speedway

Illustration from 68-page, 1916 Uniontown Speedway Preliminary Race Program - Carl Laemmle, Universal Films President, donated the $3,000.00, three-foot-tall, solid silver Universal Film Trophy to the Uniontown Speedway. It was passed down to the winner of the annual Universal Films Race. Louis Chevrolet won in 1916. Charlie Johnson, right, was the Uniontown Speedway Association President, who was reported to have run off with track proceeds to Cuba in 1922.
