Image of The Week
This is another great perspective piece from artist David Story. This outstanding sketch captures an image of 1921 Indianapolis 500 winner Tommy Milton and his Frontenac racer. His team, headed by Louis Chevrolet, supported six entries with one driven by Percy Ford finishing third and another in the capable hands of Ralph Mulford scoring ninth. He prevailed after Ralph DePalma, who had dominated early, suffered catastrophic engine failure.
Look for more sketches from David Story here in a special collaboration with First Super Speedway. Take a look at his sketches of other Indianapolis 500 champions Joe Dawson, Jules Goux, Rene Thomas, Ralph DePalma, Dario Resta, Howdy Wilcox, Ray Harroun, and Gaston Chevrolet. Don't miss a second Gaston Chevrolet sketch David produced.
