This is David Story's latest rendering of 1928 Indianapolis 500 winner Louis Meyer. Meyer became the first three-time champion of the legendary contest, with other victories in 1933 and 1936. As an aside, he is known as the first driver to drink milk in victory lane. In Meyer's case, his swig was not part of an American Dairy Association promotion, but instead a matter of personal preference. Also, it was buttermilk. You can find David's first artwork for the 1928 race elsewhere on First Super Speedway.
