Jimmy Murphy, Le Mans, 1921

Jimmy Murphy at Le Mans in 1921, just prior to his victory in the French Grand Prix. His car was a Duesenberg. He used the same car to win the 1922 Indianapolis 500, but with a Miller engine. His teammate was 1924 "500" winner, Joe Boyer.
