Drivers of the 1909 Vanderbilt Cup

This montage image of drivers and cars entered in the 1909 Vanderbilt Cup originally appeared in the October 30, 1909, Indianapolis News. It was part of the Indianapolis newspaper's coverage for what was at the time the most famous auto race in America. There were 16 cars entered in the big race and below appear the names of the cars and drivers featured in the photo.
