Dave Evans at the Wheel

This is a photo of Indianapolis 500 veteran Dave Evans in 1928. Evans was a six-time starter in the "500," with a best finish of fifth in 1927. He is best known as the driver who set an unbreakable "500" record by completing the entire race without a pit stop in 1934 in a Cummins Diesel entry.
