113.1 mph Board Track Record!

This is another image from the Paul Sheedy collection. Sheedy's notes indicate that this image was captured during the 1925 national championship American Motorcyclist Association (AMA) national championship race at the 1.25-mile Altoona board track speedway. Seen here is the instant that hall-of-fame rider Jim Davis won the July 4 contest. His average speed was 113.1 mph!
