May 28, 1913 - The Indianapolis Motor Speedway conducted Time Trials three days before the Indianapolis 500. The purpose was for cars to prove they could turn a lap at or above the minimum average speed of 75 MPH. The cars were started in order based on luck of the draw. At long last the Isotta team arrived at the Speedway and hit the bricks.
