National to Atlanta - 1910

This article first appeared in the April 28, 1910 Indianapolis Star. The article discussed the entry of the National Motor Vehicle Company race team in the upcoming spring race meet at the Atlanta Speedway. The announced dates of the meet were May 5 - 7.

Drivers Johnny Aitken and Tom Kincaid were announced to be at the steering wheels. Howdy Wilcox was also announced as Aitken's riding mechanic with Don Herr serving the same role for Kincaid. The plan was for the team to practice on the track for three or four days. One of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway's visionary four founders, Art Newby, who was also head of National, was expected to attend the race meet.

The cars were stock chassis machines that had been tested at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. The team's success in 1909, especially on hill climbs is noted.
