In uploading more articles for my 1911 Indianapolis 500 series, I came across an item on "Farmer" Bill Endicott concerning a race he was competing in on May 13, 1911 at Latonia near Cincinnati. It provides interesting insights to his character and ability to think on his feet under pressure. When involved in a multi-car pile-up he sprung into action to warn other drivers before they plunged into the wreckage.
