The Mystery of Fay Pickens

Here is a post card photo of a man named Fay D. Pickens wearing an Indianapolis Motor Speedway jersey. According to the information on the back of the card he was from Cloverdale, Indiana and the driver of a Knox 60 H.P. Racer. The image was provided by Joe VanZandt who tells us he was the caregiver to Fay’s son, who died at 90 years of age recently. Anyone with information about Mr. Pickens, especially any race driving career he may have had has the opportunity to be of service to Mr. VanZandt. First Super Speedway is curious too!
