"Wild" Bob Burman was on top of his racing game in May 1911. Fresh from setting the world land speed record (141 mph) on the sands of Daytona Beach, he was regarded as America's new "Speed King." I just uploaded an article from the May 4, 1911 Indianapolis Star reporting on his entry in the first Indianapolis 500, driving a newly imported Benz racer owned by renowned promoter Ernie Moross. If you are researching Bob Burman, this is excellent biographical information.
