Intersection of Early Racing & Boxing

Trivia time. This video of heavyweight boxing champion Jack Johnson and Tommy Burns has at least a couple of connections to early American auto racing. Johnson raced Barney Oldfield in match race in 1910 - and - the referee for this fight was Hugh "Huge Deal" MacIntosh, who provided a young David Bruce-Brown one of first opportunities with a race car.
