Harry Holcomb - Gruesome Photo

To quote the local newspaper the Indianapolis Motor Speedway was "christened with blood" when on the first day of auto races two men, driver William Bourque and riding mechanic Harry Holcomb, lost their lives. This particular photo shows Speedway attendants carrying the dead body of Holcomb across the track in the middle of a race as cars speed by.
