Amazing the stuff you can find on YouTube. This clip is purported to be a Thomas Edison film from 1900 - and possibly the first automobile parade in New York. Regardless of the particulars, this grainy piece of film is an interesting peek into the past to the automobile in its infancy. This was a time when only a few hundred miles of roads were paved in the entire United States and the total number of registered cars in the nation was, according to Michigan State University, only 8,000.
