Cobe Trophy, Indiana Trophy Images

Recently I have been researching the June 1909 Cobe Trophy and its support race the Indiana Trophy but poring over digitized copies of microfilm I spent weeks collecting earlier this year. One of the things I like doing is capturing images of the photographs that were published in these old newspapers - in this case the Indianapolis Star, the Indianapolis News and the Indianapolis Sun. I refer to these as "images" to make the distinction between what they are as opposed to the original photographs. They are like fossils, artifacts of something that in many cases no longer exists. While some of these original photos survive I am sure many are lost to the ages. I feel like I am rescuing them and bringing them to the surface through in the 21st Century through First Super Speedway.
