Barney Oldfield constantly looked for ways to exploit his personal brand: the speed-crazed, death-defying daredevil. He pursued a stage career with the Broadway production, "The Vanderbilt Cup," and then latter appearing in such Hollywood silent films as "Barney Oldfield's Race for Life."
